An Anderson plug is a heavy-duty electrical connector that's used to connect devices that require high current circuits. They're a popular choice for many automotive and camping applications, including:
Charging a camper trailer's battery. While driving, an Anderson plug allows a vehicle's alternator to charge a camper trailer's battery. This ensures the camper's power system is ready to use.

A brake controller is an electronic device that regulates and activates a trailer's electric brakes. It will allows the driver to monitor and activate the trailer's brakes from the cab of the vehicle. It coordinates the trailer's brakes with the tow vehicle's brakes.
There are lot of different brands and models in the market comparing quality and durability REDARC Tow Pro Elite is generally considered to be an easy trailer brake controller & it's our best recommendation.
Set the sensitivity level to determine how aggressively the brake controller applies the brakes. To adjust, test the trailer brakes again by driving at about 25 Mph and pressing the brake pedal. If the vehicle stops too slowly, increase the sensitivity setting. If it stops too abruptly, lower the sensitivity. When you get into the right settings you will feel vehicle and trailer apply the brake smoothly acooding to the load.
In Australia, the legal requirements for trailer
brake controllers depend on the gross trailer mass
(GTM) of the trailer:
GTM under 750 kg:
No trailer brakes are required
GTM 751–2,000
kg: A braking system is required on at least one
axle. Electric brakes are recommended for trailers
over 1,000 kg.
GTM over 2,000 kg: An electric
brake controller is required on all axles, and a
breakaway system is required on all wheels. The
breakaway system must be powered by a fully
charged battery at all times.
The brake
controller must be designed to allow the
trailer's braking force to be progressively
increased and decreased. It must also be
controllable from the driver's seat. The
vehicle/trailer combination must be able to stop
within 7 meters from 30 kilometers per hour.
Absolutely we provide products warranty whatever comes with the product + installation warranty. Normally installation will take around 3-5h and it's totally depending on car model and year.
Anderson plug requirements for a vehicle depend on a number of factors, including the size of the plug, the size of the cable, and the type of connection & lord. Normally most of the light vehicles use 50A Anderson plug with 6mm (50A) or 8mm (70A) wire depending on customer requirements.
The minimum wire size for the circuit should be 10mm2. The wiring to the rear of the vehicle should be at least 6mm and no longer than 5-6 meters. Normally in light vehicles we use 50A Anderson plug and if current lord is high will have to go with higher current rated ones.
The main difference between red and grey Anderson
plugs is their intended use:
Red
Anderson plugs: Used for electronic stability
control (ESC)
Grey Anderson plugs: Used for
charging a caravan battery.
Red Andosen plug:
When using the Redarc BCDC Charger we always fit a
red Anderson plug on the Solar input.
